Stop Merging CAD Models
Have you ever wanted to prevent multiple CAD models from merging in Calypso?
It is nice to be able to load more than one CAD model, such as fixturing components to go with the part model.
But it is a problem when all the CAD bodies get fused together, because you can’t adjust their position or replace them as needed.
Calypso will merge separate models when:
- Creating a single point using Define Points
- CAD - Creating features…
- CAD - CAD File - Automatic Healing

To stop merging CAD models, go to:
CAD - Modify CAD Entities… - Hierarchy tab
Right-click on the fixture CAD model name, and un-check “Workpiece”. Do the same for all CAD model bodies, except for the part model.

Note: CAD healing will always merge all bodies, even if you un-check “Workpiece”. CAD healing is not always necessary. If you wish to keep CAD bodies separate, skip the CAD healing.
