Masking and Marking
Masking and Marking
“Masked” characteristics will neither be measured nor sent to the report. This is useful when you want to temporarily skip some dimensions, without deleting them permanently.

Select the characteristics you want to exclude, using the Ctrl key to highlight more than one. Right-click on the characterisic window, and select Masked. Now you will see a little gray mask next to the characteristics.
“Marked” characteristics will still be measured but can be selectively hidden in your multiple reports.
The Mark characteristics button in the Multiple Report window opens the Characteristic Settings Editor, where you select characteristics that can be hidden. After that, click the Hide checkbox in the Multiple Report window to hide those dimensions in a specific report format. The two-step process allows you to hide the dimensions in one printout, while showing them in another. For example, you may want the full-page form plots (PlotProtocol) to only display certain characteristics, while the standard report includes everything.
